Use The Card.

On the back of my business card, I give you guidance on how to deal with a normal police encounter. That guidance is obviously abbreviated, and since I don't know your specific situation it is not personalized, but it is the product of 25 years of representing people charged with criminal offenses. If you follow that advice I am sure that whatever lawyer you choose will be grateful. Here is a copy of that advice:

My lawyer, whose name and telephone number are on this card, has instructed me not to talk to anyone, not to answer any questions about my pending case or about any other criminal matter, and not to consent to any searches without a proper warrant. On advice of counsel and under the Fifth and Sixth Amendments, I have decided not to talk to anyone about any criminal matter without my attorney present and request that no one ask me to do so without a lawyer here to advise me. I shall not give any consent, submit to any test except an intoximeter or EC/IR II breath machine, or make any waivers of my rights without my lawyer. Please call my lawyer immediately.
